Awesome Things From History

Awesome Things From History Because I am obsessed with history and have way too much time on my hands.

Today marks the fortieth anniversary of the Watergate Scandal.  During the early hours of the morning on June 17, 1972, a security guard noticed tape on the outside of a door at the democratic election headquarters at the Watergate office buildings in DC.  This was the second of two break ins by members of President Richard NIxon’s reelection committee.  The scandal that ensued eventually led a two year legal battle and the resignation of Nixon andVice President Spiro Agnew, as well as forty eight government officials being found guilty of various charges.
